Cricket Club
The
Has Arrived
Damerham is a Western Downland village on the Northwest edge of the New Forest.
Damerham Cricket Club plays Saturday League, Wednesday League, Sunday friendlies and from 2011 we are running a Colts side.
Cricket has been played at Damerham for over 150 years. Graham Colbourne, who has been DCC Secretary for a full third of that time, has team sheets, match reports and subs lists dating from 1859.

KO: 18:30 | Colts Evening League
Damerham Cricket Club clearly existed before 1859 (you would imagine this was not their first game) but here, from The Salisbury And Winchester Journal And General Advertiser in 1859, is the earliest recorded evidence of it.
This evidence has been searched out by our Secretary and encyclopaedic club historian Graham Colbourne, and comes to us courtesy of the British Library.
For stump cam footage from the Damerham v Fordingbridge Hockey friendly game can be found on our facebook page.
Damerham Cricket Club, and more specifically our splendid groundsman, has featured in this month's issue of 'The Cricketer' magazine. See below.
